Pro I'm ashamed to say I could never get into Blake Seven, couldn't get passed the shaking scenery and crappy effects :-)) I was a Doctor Who fan then and still. Isn't it funny what suddenly pops into your brain? :-))

People liked it because it was so bad. We used to fall about at the wooden plot, and as you say the cardboard scenery. They had to "retire" Blake from the plot after the first few episodes because he had all the charm and acting ability of a pint of cold semolina.
Then they brought in that mean woman baddy in the black PVC costume (or was it leather?) and all the boys liked her 
Oric was fun, we all did the voice and the noises hee, hee!
